thanks. a very interesting label indeed. G. Lewis is Graham Lewis (also of Wire). together with Gilbert they recorded under various names in the 80s, in particular 4 albums as Dome. this track according to the recording date printed on the flexy-disc (can be seen here http://nu-things.com/blog/2009/05/bruce_gilbert_graham_lewis_dom.html) the song should be of the same period of the album Dome 3. but Gilbert & Lewis have never recorded a song with that title, i’m pretty sure. ciao. f.

Hi Fab,

Unfortunately I don’t know anything about that release, and in fact, I know very little about this mysterious, yet utterly amazing, label at all. I’m assuming it’s Bruce Gilbert of Wire, but who is G. Lewis? The information I have here is mostly an aggregation of various separate posts I found elsewhere online, and I wanted to collect it all under one roof. i’m trying to understand what the track published on the flexy “B. C. Gilbert & G. Lewis: Cross, Grow, Prayer (Vanity 8103/’81)” actually is since i’m not aware that they ever recorded a track with this name. Do you know more about it ? Cheers.
